Wuss!! It's all about launching at 7k rpms with a clutch dump and flooring it at the drag strip on street tires. That's probably why my differential is clunking like crazy and making a whirring noise as I go faster huh?

BTW, doing the above launch creates the most violent launch, as described by my friends, imagineable. On time my turn signal switch broke off the leg during the launch, as well as my CAI ripping off the TB elbow and puncturing a hole in my radiator hose. This is one main reason why I havent been back to the track since, or launched like that.

I've launched at lower RPM's than that and hit the redline buzzer after about 1 car length. It just don't hook up, total waste. I need some drag slicks and a full tank of gas.

BTW I wish I could get a MT tuned for $300. I should have got a Haltech.

Get a wideband and tune it yourself, it's not so bad if you have SAFC experience. If the microtech is like the haltech, it's just like having a whole lot more SAFC maps to set, same type of thing. I can't wait to get my DIY ECU (megasquirt) installed! Just a few more components to solder onto the board, a wiring harness to make, firmware to download, and it's time to get the most out of my rotary at last!
