bad news ahh!!

well bad news for me today blew the motor in the turbo!!! driving crazy like i allways do, i was gambling rolling the dice running too much boost leaned out.... or just old age iono, 154K on origional motor what do u expect, i knew it would blow, im glad i got to drive it for the time i did!!

really makes me want more!! gonna fix the dents and get a new motor this upcoming few months this will be my summer project,

my condolences.... , if it makes you feel better, my cell phone died today and I lost a lot of phone numbers to a lot of hookups...... DAMNIT!!! but hey man, if you need an FD mine is for sale

only car i've ever blown the motor on was my REPU... and we all know the hell i went thru with that car, but that was my first apex seal loss...

The good news is you only paid $650 for the car. So considering that it ran was kind of like a bonus. 154k on a turbo i think is a lot of miles.

yeah im not at a loss, when i bought the car from the guy i said, its got HELLA MILES , " it wont last more then a couple months, and sure enuf, like i said 2 months and 4K miles it was over, so i was expecting it anyway, plus the turbo was worn out too, it woulda needed rebuild real soon anyway,


pretty sure its blown it sure runs like a blown motor, gonna do the compression test today to find out the truth,

anybody notic on a blown motor the vacume gauge bounces back and forth quite alot??

it is confirmed, it is blown,, zero compression on the front rotor, and about 85 all around on rear.

im thinking either jdm motor like you guys were doing, or rebuild this one but im pretty sure i need a new front housing and new rotor, zero compression im sure somethings dented up good....
