Fiiiiiiinaly getting around to putting paint on the engine bay. Its just primer, but its progress. So much welding, grinding and filling. What a learning process.

Picked this up for the REPU the other weekend. Now that I have an engine, I can finally start to figure out what direction I want to take.

Painted the oil pan and installed, polished up front cover and got the heat protective film on the LIM.
Fuel rails and UIM are next.
Ordered my Haltech HP4 ignition control module.
Moving along nicely.

WA FB 2nd Gen crossmember TII

After waiting for parts in the mail and now the heat shield material is applied...my 13yr old daughter finally got around to cleaning the tranny, installing it on the motor and now it's all in the car....about time. Teenagers.
Now I can start the process of replacing the old connectors with Delphi Weatherpack connectors. Then comes the Haltech Sprint RE and HP4 igniter. plans are to take it to FormulaD in July for the car corral.
Per Emily's request....

More pics of the 2nd Gen Cross member installed for those that are interested.
Also I got this new tool, RivNut installer....best tool ever for fabricators, just drill a hole and install the size nut you want, where you want, easy. I installed studs to make sure I wouldn't strip the RivNut.
$67 on Amazon with 60 nuts in SAE and Metric.

Looks good, I was debating on whether to go this route or have it ceramic coated.

Sold my other turbo and picked this one up last weekend.

Cool More stuff going on the car.

Alternator mount is just about done, turbo manifold is ready for installation, and my crackpot idea of using WRX coils is ready for installation.
Shout out to Sean O'Brien for doing my TIG welding for me!
Mad Science I tell you!
