Anyone in the Seattle area interested in weighing their ride ?
A few nights ago my friend was telling me he found a scale at a gravel pit that after hours is not blocked off. Basically just dive in and up on to the scale and see the number.
If anyone is interested I'm more then willing to share the spot info with you. It might be cool to see exactly what everyones car weighs, or whatever, you high hp guys could tell your exact power to weigh ratios and stuff.
Weight of my 85 GSL? answer inside.
found a scale late last night and weighed the pig.
things of mention before I get to my numbers, just so anyone else could visualize their own numbers with their own mods.
-I was inside the car and weigh 160 pounds
-16 gallons of gas (full tank)
-50 pounds of random interior **** I could take out in five mins if needed.
-glass sunroof
-lsd disc rear end
-cusco strut tower bar
-large diameter sways front and rear
-full size + style spare in the hatch
-ac removed
-equipped with alarm /power locks
-Cloth interior
Total weight of 2,680, give or take 20 pounds. I bounced up and down inside the car and it changed to 2,660 so somewhere close to that. Going to take my turbo their once I have the diff figured out and see what it weighs, most likely more.
My friend weighed his 1993 FD also, mostly stock with himself inside (150 pounds) and it was 3040 pounds, not sure of his fuel load. His 88 z28 camaro weighed 3380 just for a comparasin.

My FD without me in it, weights in at 2680lbs with a full tank. Its the base model which means no bose, leather, sunroof, etc. Thats with full interior, missing some cats, and some other emissions stuff, AC, and a few other odds and ends.
My work has a certified scale, so I use it whenever I need to. CJ

Aaron the turbo with half a tank and no loose crap inside, including the driver should weigh no more than 2250. Let me know what it ends up being. I had it all the way down to 2150, but then I put a stereo sytem in it and a turbo . Much much funner that way.

Chris that is a lot less then I thought it would weight, I actually thought it would weigh more then my red one with the roll bar/sub/turbo yada yada yada. Now I'm really interested in finding out its weight.
Once I get the diff on the turbo figured out we should get like a group of five people together and have a weigh in ha ha. I can hear it now...In the red corner weighing in at two thousand six hundred and eighty five pounds. haha

2140 for the FB, sans the turbo setup and stereo, also I had all the rear hatch carpet, plastic, storage bins removed. I weighed it at the dump, I'm sure its at least 150 pounds heavier now, but then again it has twice the horsepower.
Theres a scale right off 410 by my house between buckley and bonney lake... but you gotta pull on sideways to fit the 7's wheel base... my FC was......
2650 wet.
So sad... since ive pulled SO much crap outta the bay and done stupid amounts of weight reduction inside ( without it looking stripped)

Just had the GSL-SE corner weighed.
LF 696 RF 622
LR 586 RR 589
Left side 51.4% Right side 48.6%
Front 52.9% Rear 47.1%
Total weight 2491.
Thats on a mostly stock GSL-SE.
Did a few Dyno runs that day and put down 131hp to the rear wheels with 116ft.lbs. I was pretty happy!
