91 s5 t2, seems like a blown coolant seal. im looking for a running s5 long or shortblock. or maybe i could use a refresh. the motor still runs. just happens to flood alot since the coolant seal issue. and help will be greatly appreaciated. thankx in advance. ohh yea its 70k original miles ..which makes me real sad.

i thought my last coolant problem was from a blown engine seal but it just ended up being the lower intake gasket. the shop replaced it and it ran fine. make sure you know exactly where its coming from before you tear it down.

KK. so i look into the coolant bottle witht he hose underwater. it constanly backs out. and blows a lil bit of bubbles.. so i top to radiator cap and also bubbles there too but no alot, just a small buble every second. and its constand. this is what lead me suspect a coolant seal failure;[. makes me sad.

im trying to consider other options like JAPAN2LA's jspec engine, a rebuild, or a running used one from a member here.

see i live in anchorage, alaska, so its a lil painful on shipping prices. ; (

Dude, thought you were getting rid of it. Well that's cool if you still have it. Dude give me a call sometime, I will come check it out and help you determine if you really have a blown coolant seal issue. You got space on the kitchen floor or a patio? We'll bust that sucker open and fix it. 800 bucks is all it took for me to do mine, and it seems ok so far.

i did have a big response but i pulled up this and didnt post the other stuff o well. 312 + 1600 = cheap w/ extras u can sell for a decent price. or near 1200 for just the motor and add shipping. bad part, no warranty n on mine no charge pipe so no stock recirc/bov
