The law gives you an exemption from the front plate requirement if the state only sent you one plate. It's in the statute. So, this is actually a good thing as then you can drive legally with no front plate!

^so all i have to say is that when i got my new plates, they only sent me one + the officer will let me off?? every 7 years you have to get new places. its a reflective thing. so i just got mine last month. they sent me TWO plates though. even though, you're only supposed to have tabs on the back. thats retarded.

you can't modify your plate at all IE cut it so that only the letter show.

the other day, i got 'pulled over' when i was already parked!! for not having a front plate. the officer asked where it was. i pulled it out from behind the pass. seat + told him that i couldn't get it on when i got new plates. (even thought i've never had it on there) he let me off luckily (i have other incriminating offences..........) i asked if you can put it in the windshield, but you can't do that either.

what's the point of a front license plate? you don't have to have tabs on it, + if its coming at you, you probably won't be able to read it fast enough. plus, when police pull you over, are then infront of you, or behind you?
