Any shops in WA that do rebuilds!?

I've been searching for a shop that can do a rebuild on my motor.. But the only one I an find in WA is Atkins, but I've heard bad stories about their motors. If anyone could help me out that would be great!

Thanks,

wow... you just dissed atkins work on the forum where they are members.... LOL
I've delt with them before... not on a rebuild but their customer service is great, Dan helped my get exactly what I needed so I could avoid a deadly engine fire in the future.

I'd say Hayes, but they suck some serious asscracks with building motors.... so go to Atkins!

Dont ever go to HAYES they will cheat and lie, rip you off. Search them on the forum so you can see the truth about HAYES ROTARY in redmond. About ATKINS they are very very good. I have had 1 of my engine built by them and pulled strong numbers. My friend had a HAYES and paid almost twice and didnt even came close to the number of HP on the dyno compared to ATKINS. Heheha and on top of that my Friends HAYES engine overheated due to a coolent seal failure. So I say ATKINs all the way dude.

ive had 2 atkins motors (87n/a and 88 T2) bothRUN great and had great compression. Never had probs with oil burning or coolant leaks.

Edit: im still driving the t2, and it started everytime last winter in minus 30 degree weather. (NY)

I had my motor build by Mike Janousck. He is awesome, but so are the other shops listed. Call and see who will give you the best deal.

Mazda's and More just did a 13b in my FC, complete removal and install and it runs like a top, all dialed in, and at a price over 1/3 less than anyone else, 90 day warranty included.

I highly suggest Pineapple Racing also. Rob is one of two people I'd let drive my FD without me in the car. (Ralph at being the other one.) Not to mention, they're bolth good friends of mine. CJ

Mazda's and More have maintained my 93 R-1 since I got it in 98. At 75,000 mi I had them replace the engine, the turbos, the clutch, and all the vacuum hoses. I've driven it 2-3000 since then with nary a problem or complaint.

My experience is they are friendly and knowledgeable, and I've not yet had a problem with their work.

Yes Atkins and Pineappel RAciga and Mike are the only ones i wold trust also

Mike rebuilt my motor took him about 2 months but he broke his collar bone right ater he started working on it so it was slow going till it healed
very very nice guy and very very knowledgable and very resonable on pricing
those 3 would be the only shops i woudl take my 7 to and most peopel on the NW section i think feel that way too
good luck on your rebuild

Mike keeps his word, and he knows his stuff. He actually cares about his work and pleasing his customers, unlike some.

I had my engine built by him also. My Car has been down for a while cause of my Microtech, so I havent really had a chance to enjoy the engine yet but...soon enough.

Mazdas and More sucks....or did. Glad to see durkey jerky out of business. Hopefully the new owner is honest.
