Any rx7 gurus in the corvallis area?

This past week I've been trying to sort out some idle problems on my fc. I have been going through endless searches and have gotten most of the information that I need, but when I go to put this info to work nothing is working out the way I think it should.

Fast idle cam, tps, and idle speed(the screw on top of the UIM) have all been tampered with.

Was just curious to know if there were any local rx7 gurus that could possibly give me a hand in sorting these problems out. Up until a week ago everything was running fine, except for a 1500rpm idle at normal running temp.

I am short on time right now, but will get back on here later tonight to post what has been giving me problems with more detail.

Here are the problems I am having:

Fast Idle:
I took off the throttle body and poured hot water through the thermo wax and it did extend. While hot the roller is in between the 2 marks(I have three marks, but aligned it between the two with the largest gap). The linkage did not separate, and when cold the roller went to the outside of the marks. Here is a pic.

Is this correct?

TPS:
I disconnected the tps sensor from the harness to tune it using a dmm. The sensor has 6 wires going into it. I put the red needle from the ddm on the green wire and the black needle on the black wire. I know that you are to tune it to 1ohm, but I can't get to 1ohm. To do so the I had to turn the adjustment screw all the way clockwise until the spring was compressed. Doing this would put it at about 1.5ohms. I don't believe this is correct and could have possibly been testing the wrong wires. It's also possible that my dmm is out of wack, it's quite old.

Idle Speed Screw:
I figured I would set this last, after fast idle and tps were set. I have not yet attempted to adjust this yet, but I know the setting is not correct.

I know I could possibly get more help from the gen. specific section, but I figured I would post here first to see if anyone local has had experience with this and could possibly point me in the right direction. Any help will be much appreciated.

Yeah I remember you guys.

Hopefully I will be able to take you up on that this weekend. My dad was talking about going to a bike show up in seattle this weekend. I'll have to see what's up with that.

The tps is suposed to be set at 1K ohms, that means 1000 ohms u are clear of that right?

if it wont go down to 1K ohms then something is wrong wiht the tps and it would need to be replaced.

Well I figured out that the tb wasn't fully closed when trying to set tps the first time. I took out the tb and put it fully closed and then set the tps, I believe it is correct now.

It's getting better, now I'm adjusting the fast idle screw in the back of the tb so it holds idles where it should be.

UPDATE:

I got the car doing pretty good right now. Now it's back to the original problem before I messed everything up where at normal operating temp sometimes it will idle at 1.5k depending what rpm I push in the clutch to come to a stop. I can live with that for now.
