Ok, forget about this company. They haven’t called me back and now they aren’t answering the phone.

I’ll be calling nwdrifter at lunch.

I hate how companies force you to buy their products through distributors. First the manufactures never list the prices and they don’t do very well in listing distributors in specific areas which to buy their products. You really have to try and actively hunt out their products and a place to purchase those items. You would think they could possibly sell more or get more clients if they were more accessible. But what the hell do I know.

Just venting,

lame dude, im sure rob could hook you up if you needed it, however i understand time is a concern for you, so that might not be the best option

I'll try Abe first. Then I'll give Rob a call. I haven't talked to Rob in many moons so it would be nice to call him anyways. Thanks for the idea.

But the time thing isn't that big of a deal. I just hate hearing things like "I send the order out now" and then I never get a call about billing information or my address to send the items once they are ready for drop shipping. You can see that I've been screwing with this for two weeks now and all I need is a $10 gasket. It would be soo much easier if the manufacture could just sell you their parts over the web or the phone.

I wouldn't mind waiting a month as long as I knew it was in the mail so to say.

Well nwdrifter (Abe) is off and running. I just sent him the cash for the gasket kit and with any luck he said it will be here by next friday.

Its been a pleasure so far, much better then Turbo Technology. Speaking of that, I'm still waiting for a call back from them.

Thanks nwdrifter.

Quick question for you. Do you know how the springs on the WG are identified. I really want to rip mine apart and check the spring. I know that I would have to buy a couple gaskets when this was done.
I just took mine apart last night. This is the Standard HKS 40mm wastegate. The gasket around the area where the spring sits does not need to be replaced when swapping out the springs. This is a thick rubber/silicon gasket which looks like it could be a touch expensive. It sits around the spring at the top of the diaphrama (I think that what you would call it). Becareful the spring is under load and will pop the top in your face if you don't hold on to it.

BTW I have a yellow spring in mine which is a 14.2psi spring. This should do just fine.

Still patiently waiting for a $12 gasket keeping the car down for months. I hear it's in the mail from the HKS though. Thanks Abe.

Joe

Thanks for the information. Do you know the color coordination for what the other spring rates are?

Thanks
Z

Well I just pulled my WG apart and think that it is a white spring which means that I will be able to run roughly 12lbs of boost. We need a solution for that so I will just have to purchase a blue or yellow spring.

Yes it did. Thanks a lot.

Now I just have to fix some other issues with the car before I pull her out of the garage for the summer.

Thanks Again,
Joe
