You need to do your own work. If you don't want to do you own work, you REALLY need to sell the car. I would not LET anybody touch my car, other than to get tuned by like BDC or steve kan. If you want it right, do it yourself.
It sounds like you should get a 240sx, REALLY. Some people can't handle a 1.3L.

haha. I thought I saw you selling your old (still running) engine on the forum. Maybe it didn't sell and you put it back? Anyways, that goes to show you if you are not a tard, and do the required work, you can be pretty hard on your car!
Se7enFD3S if you can look at this, and feel nothing, you need to get a 240civic. You have to love these cars to do the work. I have a relationship with my 7.

Notice the jack under the car. An rx7 is never done, ever.
Ok you need to do your research, because CURRENTLY you CAN get an FD for under 12k in great condition. Due to the "economy crisis" that everyone exaggerates people locally are opffloading their FDs for stupid prices! NOW is the perfect time to get a great deal on a great car
haha Tweak that's nothing. I've seen half of a muffler that size exposed beyond a bumper... At least you're not cramming a Porsche motor into a VW and having the entire exhaust system (header/muffler) exposed

wow yeah true. I soo need to find a welder on craigslist for cheap. But then again ... if I had one nothing would stop me from making intake and turbo manifolds...and at this point im tired of doing stuff haha.

First off if you can find an FD in the North West for 12k thats clean and running I will be impressed.
Your wiring could use a little clean up, no offence, its kinda all over the place.
I know the engine is friken awesome its just I wanted to avoid that ^
You know I wouldn't have such a problem if I didn't own an 85 GTS at the same time

Naaa, but that was a picture of when I was still doing wiring for the e11v2, so wires are kinda... O.o But if you really look at it ... there isn't really a lot of wires even there that could have a problem. But even now it is much better than at that time.
Ya know what, I would like to see a turbo ecotec in one of our cars.... would be verrrryy interesting to see how it does. I used to run my old cavalier with a eclipse turbo alone (meaning no WG, BOV, boost gauge, extra fuel, anything) and it would just blow the head gasket every week and that's it. Wen't and put a huge copper head gasket in there and it didn't ever blow again. I know the ecotec engines are stronger than the old cavalier engines too.

indeed, and I think that you should drop in a stock turbo engine for now, threat it right, and see if that is enough power for you. If you rebuild your engine yourself, you will learn something, you can port it, and you can do it for much cheaper. Run about 8 psi of boost till you get bigger injectors, fuel pump, and hybrid turbo and a way to control them. Spend the rest on suspension, roll cage, tires, racing seats, and such. I would recommend either rebuilding your t2 LSD, or getting a kaaz right off the bat. Then get out on the track with the $7000 you have left and go practice.
I have got 303 in my FB at the rear wheels (13bt) Its plenty fast, traction and driveline parts braking become a problem long before the power becomes boring.
Easily hanging with cars that cost 10-25X more $$ and mopping the floor with almost everything stock while also having 3-5X less engine displacement and most the time 1/2 the boost removes any thoughts of swaping to a piston motor.

one other swap that has been talked about is a mazda 2.5L V6 from the 626 (?) same V-6 mill as the 1.8 v6 in the MX3... there have been talks about it bolting up to a T2 trans, but i'm in doubt.
run a turbo on it & make an easy ~250 hp. I've seen a video of one with a turbo on it bolted into a miata.... looked clean.

Another example of do it yourself...
