Alfa Club Track Day

Today was the Alfa club track - I was surprised not to see more 7's out there.

The only other one I saw was a pristine 93 VR R1.

How pristine was it? It has 14k miles.

Anyway, the weather was great, the car was fast, and nothing broke.

Kudos again to Adam Griffith on the Vmount.

On track temps were just enough to open the tstats, both oil and coolant.

On track oil/coolant temps were both 175f.

The custom catch can (also Adam) also did its job well.

There was another car meet, 6 RX-7's there. Red S4 SE, White s4 GTU, White s5 GTU, and 3 FD's, not sure what series.

Sorry, guess I assumed that this was already well publicized, as it is a fairly popular event.

Next time I will make a post here.

BTW, it doesn't hurt to keep an eye on PIR Web Site and check the schedule occasionally. A number of clubs have tracks that anyone can attend.

OK, here's the announcement: There is an Alfa Club Track day on Sunday October 18th.

Personally, I don't plan to register until I can get a 10 weather report that looks favorable for that day.

Anyway, the Alfa Club puts on a decent track day.

Yes getting a response from the 7 community can be frustrating at times. Biggest group of flakes out there. lol

There's also a Palatov event at ORP Sunday the Sept. 27th. Last event for that group this year. Josh/Jared, you guys need to drive that track!

And wow, they got ride of the GSXR motor and put an electric motor setup on their prototype!

I have run a bunch of the cascade days. Only other rx7 was a FB. How is it running with the Alpha club? Wow I like the 6x 15min sessions vs the 4x 20min sessions with cascade. Cheaper too. I might be interested in that october day if it isn't raining (I don't have good rain tires).

Will do.

I would have made one earlier this year, but some folks thought it necessary to attend my daughters wedding.
