Air flow sensor door opens by itself on idle

Im trying to pin point a problem with my car wanting to die out on me and a stalling idle...
The door to the mass airflow sensor opens and flutters by its self..
is there some sort of electric motor moving the door? Or just the air moving the door? Because i took my air filter off and notice when it wants to stall out the door Opens then after wants to stall....

It moves as air passes by it. Your best bet is to ask for help in the 2nd gen section.

I think it was the fuel Filter, it was pretty bad getting it off. and i think it was the original.
Starving for fuel must have caused the throttle to try and open more to keep the car from dieing..
hardly any air is passing the old fuel filter.. the new one is free flow. But we will see in a sec

170k fuel filter anyone?
