were you speeding? how far to the end of the intersection were you? fighting these is kind of a shot in the dark at times, but it can be done. a friend of mine beat it by saying he would rather risk getting his picture taken then to lock up his brakes and have the guy behind him hit him, etc etc.

I remember reading somewhere that a city was getting rid of their red light cameras because they didn't make any money. Nobody ever paid their tickets.

the tickets are treated as parking tickets so its almost pointless to fight it, plus it won't affect your driving record. unless you have a ton of unpaid parking tickets

Doesn't look like you came to a complete "stop", hence the ticket. My advice is to pay the ticket and don't roll through red lights while turning right.

Well good news I found an attorney who will get it taken care of for 62 bucks. I can stomach that. As long as the city not only is not getting a dime from me, but now wasting time and resources for money they will never get. You loose Redmond Police!

62 bucks? What was the ticket? If I had to pay money, I'd rather it go to the city than some attorney. City isn't a perfect system, but money spent on road improvements is better than money spent on some attorney's BMW.

Road improvements huh? That corner in the video has two gigantic potholes in the corner travel path. They can afford the camera system on the corner, make ticket money off the corner, but mysteriously cant find the time to fill the potholes on the corner.

Those cameras need to come down, and If I can make those cameras work against the city, in the form of wasted time and resources, I'll gladly pay 62 bucks for an attorney, which is half of what the ticket was in the first place.

You just made my point for me. I want those potholes fixed, along with numerous others. And road improvements are only one example of what money could be well spent on. The cameras were an investment, gotta spend money to make money sometimes, and nothing happens overnight. Maybe it was a poor one, I don't know.

Either way, not the point of the thread. Enjoy your attorney.

in oregon if you don't pay a parking ticket they will suspend your licence and double it. I almost had it happen before I decided to pay up it was BS. it was a ticket for savies island and the pass was just upside down. I even had the pass still with right date and a time stamped before the ticket. Bastards.

**** the camera. obviously you were able to see that it was in the clear. nobody had to brake to avoid hitting you. even though he didn't come to a complete stop he was travaling at a speed he could of stoped instantly, if needed. I say that was perfectly safe. But I'm not trying to make money, so if I were a cop I'd atleast of gave you a warning. But I'm far from 5.0

That's cool it was dismissed. It's better than getting pulled over by a cop. They would just love to catch me for anything. Cop at school told me that last year.
