87 TII- no idle when warm

that's the problem. idles well just after it starts, but when the thermowax kicks out, the idle drops too low and the engine quits. You can keep the motor running by depressing the throttle. Could this just be mechanical? maybe I should adjust the throttle stop. any more ideas?

i'd agree with the idle being too low, what does it idle at while being cold?
mine cold is ~1400, then warmed up ~800 but dips to about 400, then back up... *shrugs* good luck on fixing it

turned out to be combination of not enough break in miles (<300) and a leak between the maf and turbo inlet.... nothing a $215 mazda part wont fix!
