i think 675 is a fair price for the car really, the car has alot more problems then meets the eye
after my breif test drive( with overheating) and checking over the car... i have concluded
149K orig motor
75 compression ALL around(really low i used a tester)worn out motor(149K ouch)and on a turbo!X_x , bad oil rings
very hard to start, and floods, and wont start when warmed up ,
doesnt like to idle, ussually dies
worn out turbo:oil seals bad on turbo, smokes unber boost, oil all over charge pipe
over heat problem,needs waterpump, thermostat
needs 1 new tire (driving on spare)
steering is worn out/very very loose ,front alignment problem( tire had 50% tred left and wore threw the belts on the inner side of it,
,something seems bent..., i dont know the full extent of this problem
good sized dent in passenger rear quarter panel ( can see there was allready bondo in this area?),
gas door, and bottem near rear bumper,
dent in front driver fender
key broken off in ignition,
no spare keys,no driver door lock
ac doesnt work
charging system problem-buzzer goes off not sure why? gremlin?
large exhaust leak near turbo, rusty mufflers falling apart.
faded paint
cracked warning cluster surround.
sunroof wont open.

so id say it might need a lil work.....

I figured it was going to be a good deal like the 7 you picked up for 100, guess i was wrong. good luck with that project, it will be worth it in the end.
One more thing... Kettleman, do you think we could also get the lsd put in while we are also installing the carb setup? I got the carb and linkages all prepped now (figured it out finally, no thanks to WhiteWideBodyRx7 who I got it from) so it should go in relatively easy, I just need to pick up another 1/4" fuel line fitting for where the omp lines hook up because one is snapped off.
Oh yeah, I am also going to need directions to your place kettleman, I should have probably got those before.

Well its good to see what Ryan thought of the car...since he didnt say jack **** to me. Since I flat out asked him...what do you think is wrong with the car. And his reply....*drum roll*....."welllllll I dunnnnooooo......It leaks coolant and has a exhaust leak" Im like...uhh...DUH thanks for pointing that out Captain Obvious. Thank god Allan/ Kettleman came over...he pointed out exactly what was wrong with it and then reccomended a few people that could help me out with the exhaust leak, since he wasnt too sure.

Anywho...Water pump is on order from Mazda...thanks to my buddy Kimo that works there. I have 2 tires Im putting on the back 225/60/16's and I will put the 205/55/16's in the front...a little wider...and a little more sidewall. But its all good, anywho...As for the exhaust leak...and the rotting mufflers...I have a performance exhaust that I got free with the car...Its up in Puyallup I just need to go get it. So Im wondering if that will take car of the leak if not..then I will replace the oil seal on the turbo to get rid of the burning oil problem. And then if that wont get rid of it..I will ask someone on here to come take a look at it...or take it to a exhaust specialist or some bullshit to get rid of the high I get while riding in the car.

As for the Sunroof...it opens just fine...just gotta push up on it and it slides back just fine...as for the warning light coming on all the time...its because the alternator wasnt tightened enough (meaning...the belt tension isnt that tight) Im assuming that is why the warning buzzer comes on. Anywho, I guess I am REALLY off topic. So I will stop ...for now

Chris

kettleman, the lsd I wanted to put in is the entire rear axle assembly, so the most difficult part would probably be the brakes, but I have new pads and all the hardware that should be needed, and if not I could always stop by the local parts store, or run up to the automall and get stuff from my shop.

I haven't been very active on here except for the speeding ticket post a while back, but I have been reading many of the posts and learning. Just picked up another one today which brings the collection to 5. It has cosmetic ishues and oil leaks. Mostly I would like a check out of timing and fine tuning. Has a holly 4 barell and headers, 13b susposed to have a streetport. I got it running tonight and sounded good. If I can get the starter to reliably engage I'll bring it. If not I may risk push starting. If anyone has crush washers for the oil lines I'd buy'em and directions would be helpfull.

Haha that very last picture sucks, i look like a freaking fruit.
Was pretty nice, got sunburnt pretty bad so that sucks. Was fun putting on the exhaust though, its alot quieter than i expected, but definatly can feel the power.
Sucks for all ya that missed it, beer, burgers, and well holleys and racing beat... :p
