We decided to move this event up in the calendar to fill an empty spot, but it also makes more sense to do earlier in the year when people are more active with their cars and looking for good trade or buy opportunities. So, we are doing the annual swap meet on Saturday, May 19th, 2007, behind Pineapple Racing (same place as last year). Start time is 10am and we will finish whenever we finish. Costco is right around the corner, so we can get a few large pizzas for lunch...or we can barbeque again.
There is no cost to participate and it is open to members and non-members alike. This time it is on a Saturday instead of Sunday, the event does not conflict with any races that I am aware of and hopefully the weather forecast will be better (last year it didn't actually rain, but the threat of rain kept many people away). Still, bring a pop-up tent if you have one, just in case.
It may be a good idea to post a list of items you intend to bring, so people who might need that stuff know to come to the swap meet and look for you. I will be doing that myself in a separate post soon.

Some of the stuff I will have at the swap meet:
85 GSL-SE Complete Suspension/brakes, front and rear.
85 GSL-SE Fuel Tank w/ large pickup.
85 GSL-SE front crossmember
85 GSL-SE wheels
Older MoTeC fuel injection system with wiring harness
Several IDA and IDF intake manifolds, 6-port & 4-port
A couple IDA- and IDF-style fuel injection throttlebodies
A bunch of engine parts (of course)
That's all I can think of right now, but there is a lot more. I have shelves and shelves of crap I don't need.
Stuff I might want to buy or trade for:
Hmmm. Maybe some 4x114.3, 15x7 wheels that fit my style...vintage panasport, enkie mesh or similar. Not much else I am really looking for but who knows...

I need to get rid of parts off of a 1987 Base Rx7: Steel hood, Taillights, bra, 4 wheels and tires with spare, maroon seats.
Want to get rid of for cheap or trade for: Driverside exterior door handle, TPS, Series 5 front bumper turn signals.

Also, I have an S4 turbo (no bad play), exhaust manifold (minimal cracks) and intake/TB. Somewhere I have the wiring harness for it too, but no ECU.
If anyone needs a big Holley carb, I have my spare off the '75 Ford F250 Camper Special. You can buy the F250 too, if you want. It has a big block FE360, dual tanks, canopy, etc.

Well, that'll get the party started! Might have to hire a DJ now.
By the way, unless the weather really sucks, I think we will do the barbecue thing. Perhaps hamburgers this time. So you guys have free food to look forward to as well.

Okay, who's coming to the Swap Meet this Saturday? I would like to have an idea of head-count for planning purposes. I have already spoken to several people who say they will show up but not as many as I'd like. We need a good turnout to justify continuing to host these things. And, tell us what kind of junk you plan to bring or wish to buy so others know...
I'll try to show up.. probably around noonish.[>12 on saturday = sleep time ^_-]
I've got an S5 PS pump I've been meaning to sell. [and I've been meaning to ask you guys about a repair estimate..]

This is the final reminder, since the event is tomorrow. Crossing my fingers that it won't rain, but we will do our best to clear out shop space so we can setup inside if necessary. Bring a pop-up tent if you have one and folding chairs are a good idea too.
I will be here at 10am but I figure things won't really get rolling 'til noon or a bit after anyway. Last year we stayed until 5pm.
Here is a map. We are setting up behind the shop, same as last time.

A couple of us guys from Albany are planning on it.
Looking for: GSL-SE front hubs and spindles, bacv, upper intake manifold, 12A roadrace header, 215mm street/strip clutchkit. Maybe some other stuff to we'll see.
