1991 FC3S Build, Doing it Right this Time.
So I have had this new FC for a little While now. Time to start doing some little Modifications here and there.
Plans for this car are very Simple and Clean.
Exterior:
Currently:
Turbo II Hood
Future Plans:
Front Lip - Corksport, Mazdaspeed, Odula? I have not decided yet.
Side skirts
Shine Auto rear Bumper Caps
Roof Wing
Wangan Wing
Rear Diffuser
Very Simple, No Full on Body Kits. No Molding Or Fiber glassing ****.
Engine:
Currently it is very stock and simple.
Pineapple Racing 5th and 6th port sleeves
Stainless Steel Oil Cooler Lines
Drop in K&N Air Filter In stock Box.
Future Plans:
Definitely Turbocharged.
Most Likely a NA-T sense i already have
T2 S5 UIM, LIM, Primary and Secondary Injectors and Fuel Rails, S5 Turbo w/ Manifold, Intercooler
Correct me if I am wrong but All I would need is:
ECU, MAF, Pressure Sensor, Probably a few Things I am forgetting.
Also will be doing a Full Emissions Delete aswell.
I am trying to source these parts as cheap as possible sense this will be a budget build. I am getting married in the next month or so and have a 1 year old daughter so money isn't exactly abundant.
Suspension:
Currently:
Front and Rear Strut Bars,
Stock Struts and Springs.
Future Plans:
Coilovers (Stance GR+, Megan, Tein?) Input on good coilovers that I can dump the car is really Appreciated!
LSD (Stock Open Diff in Now)
I have not decided on wheels yet, So many I like and IDK what to choose from.
Interior:
New Steering Wheel is Coming this week
Racing Seats w/ Harnesses ( I am a big dude so I need a Wide Seat - Open for suggestions!)
I had a roll cage but Didn't like it. I was always banging my head on it so I sold it.
Need to Install my Subs and Amp. Hopefully i can do this soon.
My Inspiration for my build is Ryan's (RCFC89's Car)
Link to Pics of His car : http://www.stancenation.com/2010/10/...school-flavor/
I Really truly love how his car looks, Extremely Aggressive and just Plain Beautiful!
Here are pics of my beauty!
Will take some Updated Ones Tomorrow of some stuff I have already done.
With my Tax Return I shall be able to get some of the stuff I have been wanting!

Suggestion (based on my own experience and what I know of you from this forum): Focus on the simple things that make the most difference first. If money is tight the last thing you want to do is start a project on the car that you don't have more than enough money to finish right at that moment. For example:
Good ideas include removing the pinstrip, doing a nice wax job and buff, switching the rims out for good ones (not blowing your wad on new forged stuff), bringing the stance down with some springs. Buy an s4 n/a GXL/GTU lsd.... gang star, major cred, and you WILL notice it when driving the car, ALOT.
Bad ideas include buying random body parts. Only buy them if you can buy them all and have them all painted at the same time. Having money tied up in parts sitting on your floor for 2 years SUCKS. That cash could have gone to something on the good list above and you would be enjoying them. Another bad would be buying a race seat. That shiz aint cheap. What is the need for that at the current state of the car. Your not road racing, so all it really is is the "wow that guy has a racing seat in his street car" comments. Wait to get a racing seat until you are racing. That $500-2000 spent on racing seats would buy some nice parts that actually make the car more enjoyable for driving it on the street. Avoid putting a huge sound system in the car. You will end up taking it out because of weight. A nice sound system isn't a bad idea, but the FC does not need much in that department. 2 12" in a huge box is silly for a FC.
Take this advice as you wish. Just realize it's coming from someone who lives and breaths FC for the past 12 years. Before the FnF stuff and the over commercialization of the scene I was modding FC's. Zero income just out of HS to over 6 figures and I'm still devoted to the platform. Trends come and go. Build the car you want to drive now and tomorrow because you don't have enough spare cash to keep up with the trends and change **** out when something new comes along. Maybe in 10 years you will.

a) i'm all for multicolored cars lol
2) if you want a racing seat for the purpose intended, kirkey intermediate road race seats are AMAZING and cheap (local guy sells them with covers for <400). if you jsut want seats to look cool... well whatever, buy a fake bride i guess.
d) umm i dunno how much for lip. no need to sell, i just want to replace it with a Shine lip (slightly different design). 150?

Agree with 13bpower about the racing seat, unless you autocross or track on a regular basis, it's not ideal to have the seat just yet, and the money spent can definitely go somewhere else.
From your picture I notice you have the RB exhaust, maybe invest into downpipe and high-flow cat/silencer if you haven't.
Suspension wise I would suggest getting new sway bars, change all the bushings, and possibly underbody brace member bars. These will help stiffen the chasis quite a bit.
Also, what have you done for your brakes? If they are all stock, then do a stage 1 upgrade (brake pads, slotted rotors, SS brake lines).
