I can't wait to see the numbers. I'm already jealous you have a rew What exactly are you going to be going for with this car now? I mean like drag, drag, or maybe drag? Not sure if anything else really you might be able to do. Autox is out of the question which im going for. You'll probably produce too much HP in such a lite car. Probably as much HP as my post count :P

Good Job Z!!! Can't wait to see the HP numbers that beast will put down.

Be prepaired to get many questions about the size of cam you're using. Mine sounds just the same but I have more of an exhaust system.

Large Ports are Good.

Thanks for the comments folks. I will be at ABF this year so anyone who is coming out you will see the car.

Car is going to be a street driven car. That is going to be it's main function. I want it to be a little bit of everything, drag auto x etc. As far as too much hp there is no worries there. I have a boost controller for a reason

And for actual numbers, we will just have to see when I get her up on the dyno next week. 540 might be a little much. I think I will top out at around 500. I don't want to push more than 20psi. At that point I will just go with a bigger turbo. I know that I can put a 70mm on the cold side and a 1.15 on the hot. That should place me around the 600rwhp range. I will be happy if I break 400 at ABF though...small baby steps from here on out.

More video's soon to come.

I think at that point your turbo will be very close to the same size as mine. When I ordered it I wanted a boost range from 14-15psi low setting and a high of 20psi so I was pushed to a 62-1 because of the 20 psi high setting that I wanted.

Good Times.

Hey nice video David

Have you determined why the engine is so shaky?
IIRC you said you were going to use the stock mounts, could these be too old and the rubber too soft?

Still want to see the finished hood BTW.

A black LM1, I have the damn tandy cream case and they wont just swap out a black case for it, you have to go through the whole ordeal of sending it in and letting them check the whole thing out and then they will replace the case. Maybe I should just invest in a LC1 and leave the LM1 for random duties, and get my glove compartment back

Thanks guys.

The engine is sitting on stock mounts. Poly mounts are coming though and I will be putting those on later this summer. Until then it will just have to be a little shaky.

The hood is coming along but there is a lot of work that still needs to be done. It is just an temporary hood until I can find the time to build a fiberglass one. I might build the second one a little different depending on what I find with this hood.

The LM1 is my tuners. I will probably be getting on later down the road because the microtech is way far off. Doesn't even read +/- 1 sometimes. I will however go with the gauge. That way I won't have to mess with a large clunky object.

There are still some issues to be worked out but I hada chance to take it on the road last night and I slowly rolled on the throttle until about 4k and then dropped it to the floor. The rear-end instantly came loose. I was shocked that it would have that much torque.

Car was not tuned when the video was taken. The car idles fine however there still is a little bit of tuning to go. IIRC the idle is around 1000.

And I don’t mean to pick too much but have you considered the front secondary injector?
Not that it is a big issue (especially compared to mine), but it is getting direct heat from the turbo from what I can tell from the limited angles available.

Hey you also have a PM
