There is a new shop opening up in Salem and they are doing dyno runs for $20 for 3 pulls. Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm. I came across their ad on CL. I called the guy and Everything sounds legit. Its a trailer dyno (portable). Don't know if that makes a difference or not. Anyway i just thought I would let you guys know. This is a great deal. I couldn't pass it up. Hoofhearted and I will be there on Sat. morning. I will be running my GSL-SE. Would be nice to see some other 7's there too. The shop is called Redline. The guy I spoke with is Rich. So I got ther early and was 3rd car in line at 8:15 am. CRAZY ****!!! The S10 in front of me with a built small block chevy in it. Lifted, broke a driveline at 7500 RPM's. It sheered off and hit the owner of the dyno. Who was running the whole thing. Split his shin in two!!!! After it hit him the piece of shaft that broke off landed by my car about 30 yards or so away!! He was in shock and about to pass out when the ambulance got there. So I was next in line but then all that crazy **** happened so I didn't get to dyno my car yet this year. I will be going to a dyno day at Garage 808 in March. I went last year and the guys there are great.
I hope the guy is ok!! I will be calling them tomorrow to check and see. YIKES!!

Just one of those freak things that can happen during a pull. I'm gonna remember this and stand well out of the way of any dyno pull. Poor guy and his shin.

 

Heard he drove the portable dyno a couple hundred miles from southern oregon for the event.

I hope he heals quickly and best wishes to him and his family. Times are tough and this has got to hurt on several levels.

Last year I broke both my legs, my arm and had major surgery, plus at dyno day last July my TII with a 20b blew up while spinning about a zillion rpm's. When it was being dyno'd, I tried to keep one of the fatter spectators between me and the car: then I noticed there were about four people behind me. Time to loose some weight.

 

James is a good guy. They don't have any rx7 tuning talent, but if you bring your own talent you're good to go. I will be down there in the next week or two to get my map started.
