Description:

I bought this car from an old teacher of mine. It has always been garage kept and well cared for. When I bought the car it had 93K miles on it and it ran. I decided to do an engine refresh and had a very small port done. Steve from SMG did the rebuild. It was converted to a single turbo (GT35R) and made 400whp. But we dialed it back to 380 because we were pushing the injectors ( running all 850cc injectors and supra fuel pump w/rewire) It has a Fluidyne Radiator, and Exedy Clutch and light weight fly wheel. It also has a Greddy SMIC and the turbo is plumbed back into the oem airbox. It has an HKS cast manifold and custom 3" down pipe with a Tial V44 external wastegate plumbed back into the downpipe, high flow cat, and finished with a Racing Beat exhaust. The car is very quiet. It has Tein Flex coil overs, all new pillow ball bushings, and 17x9 +35 Kansei Wheels on Nitto NT05's 235/40/17. It has Flying M logos on the front and rear, and the 99 spec front lip, which looks nice, but in my opinion does not fit up as nice as some claim. On the interior I sent the cluster out to be refreshed by Circuit Board Mechanics, along with new bulbs and chrome rings. New OEM leather shift ****. New e-brake, boot, and shift boot. In the glove box you will find the Power FC controller and boost controller sitting in a foam mold ( I didn't want to have gadgets showing in the cabin). The boost controller is a Apexi AVC-R. I went with this boost controller so I could control boost by RPM. The power comes on very smooth and the power band is very linear. New Alpha Garage floor mats, a Flying M steering wheel, and radio found in the newer FD's (w/CD player) that I had modified to have Bluetooth. With the push of the fog light switch, you can play music through your device! I know there is much I am forgetting but that's the scope of the build. Oem looking and sounding as possible with the performance I was looking for. I have the Carfax for the car, before my ownership in 2009 it was in a fender bender ( front bumper and left fender). In fact it front fender is still original, it was only scratched in the accident. Everything else in the Carfax is service related. The pictures I am posting are place holders, the ones I am posting are just some from my phone until I have nice ones taken this weekend.
I am asking $45,000.

Turbo was painted black so it’s hard to see

You can see the oem BOV circulating back into the air box

I forgot to mention that I have an air duct pulling air from the mouth of the bumper up into the bottom of the airbox

I used the OEM crossover tube to a custom piece that attaches to the turbo

Looks like at one point there was an amp in the trunk

I am still driving this car. So the mileage will be going up. I only drive it on nice days to and from work which is about a 50min drive. 80% highway 20% country road.

The front bumper is the worst, these first 2 pics are a result of the fender bender in the car fax. I had/ have ( if I don’t sell) planned on getting the 99 spec bumper. Which is why I never got this bumper cleaned up.

Front bumper

Digs in hood are touched up

Mirror touch up

Rear bumper touch up

Read bumper touch up

I’m sorry for the delay with the pictures.
The car is not perfect. But considering it’s 28 years old I believe it’s in excellent condition. I have gotten several emails already and wanted to clear a few things up. I am not taking less than my asking price. I’m trying to be as transparent as possible so whoever is interested knows what they are getting into. I’m showing all of the imperfections for that reason. Please don’t message me to “ negotiate “
If you have questions just reply to the thread so everyone can see my answer, Incase they were wondering about the same thing.
thank you

Thank you. I’ve had a lot of people walk past it in car shows and it takes them a while to figure out what they are looking at.

That is a really nice integration of the stock airbox with a single turbo. Very nice attention to detail throughout the car. GLWS!

Im going to try at this again. If someone is interested in paying asking price, I will let it go. Here's a couple new pictures, I got the 99spec front bumper with oil cooler ducts. I modified and used the original rebar.

This is the first OEM+ single turbo engine bay I have seen and it was really pulled off well in my opinion.

To pass a CA roadside visual probably just need an OEM looking turbo heat shield over turbo hotside and downpipe which would also hide the LIM block-off plate.
