Can't find what these wires do, not seeing them in my Hayne's wiring diagram. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.




Here are the wires in question, solid blue and solid yellow wire coming from passenger side of firewall




This harness was plugged into the two wires coming from the firewall, same two solid blue and yellow wire leading to a relay, T connector, and bullet plug connector.

 

well it's not stock..and either is your engine!

 

Heh, wasn't just me who noticed that, looks like a ford head with the angle of the plugs

 

@misterstyx69 @lduley you're both absolutely right, its a 5.0 from an 85 fox body with a few upgrades namely 4 barrel intake and carb, I was told that I shouldn't disclose that it has a v8 in it since the purists would internet shame me to the end of my days....well if that's your plan ill let you know I'm also a Honda enthusiast so lay on the hate, I'm used to it hahaha

guess ill be pulling the dash off to trace where the wires go, who knows what else has been messed around with back there maybe ill get lucky and find out why the blower motor fuse keeps popping. Thanks for the responses.

 

That's OK..I'm doing the same thing!
Since the starter is "right there" I would guess that you need at the least a 12 volt source for the external solenoid by Key..and also the reverse light switch wiring.

 

SOLVED

Those wires are for an air conditioner harness leading to air conditioning relay#1>air con relay#2>air con cut-relay>ignition switch.

 

Good to know.
My 86 has no AC,pretty well a base chassis.
Fun thing is someone got to the wiring and I'll be digging into it to find out how far they went.
Glad the engine only needs 12v and some fuel.
