i am looking into buying my first rotary engine car and the one im looking at has had a 5 spd swap but the owner did not finish the wiring for it...he said all it needs to run is to install a new dash wire harness...he told me the new engine is from a 5spd car and all other wire harness are from a 5 spd rx7

so what im asking is, is there any way to get this thing running without installing the whole harness? i just want to make sure it runs before i dive halfway into the project

 

What year?

Depending on the year, the dash harness may have nothing to do with the transmission. For 1st and 2nd gen, this is definitely true.

 

its a 3rd gen, 93' ...he says ecu is from a manual also

so is this a good idea to trade a running car for this rx7? does anyone know what i can do as a temporary fix just to get it the motor started???

please help cause i dont have much time, i feel like if i pass this good deal up im going to regret it
