Will an N3A1 ecu still throw the EGR CEL error?
I have a California 1993 FD3S with an N3A3 ecu. The CEL always throws the code for the EGR sensor being bad. Not a huge deal - it randomly goes on and off so I just take it to the smog station when it's off and it passes fine.
I'm curious however... if I were to swap to an N3A1 ecu... would the check engine light go off?
Also.. I've been reading up on ecu codes in general and I assume that the N3A7 is for JDM FDs and even if it WORKS in my car, it is programmed for Japanese Gas (higher octane) which can be problematic with our shittier gas, yes?
