WIll a 1985 fb headlight motor work on a 1979 sa
Has anyone tried to put a 85 headlight motor on a 79 sa. I noticed that the connections are different but can it be rewired somehow?

Welcome to the board.

When you look at them side by side, apart from the harness connector, are they otherwise the same?

They are a small amount different but will work just fine. I think the motors are a little different.

Hello kansascity, yea the motors look different. the problem is the connectors. You think a hotwire will do the trick?

Well, I see they each have 4 wires, so I'm thinking if you can check the wiring diagrams for both, then you should be able to splice the '79 connectors on the newer motor.
