White smoke and rough starting

I just purchased a 92 JDM FD RX7 from Duncan Imports and classic cars and within 80 miles it would puke the coolant out after I parked it. I managed to get it home on my 350 Mile Road Trip with only a couple of times of it overheating when I didn't realize it at puked out every last drop of coolant. I found myself stopped on the side of the road several times, and I eventually put on a new radiator cap and manage to get it home. I started it up this morning and now it's struggling to start and pushing out loads of white smoke out the tailpipe. So based on my uneducated RX7 experience I seem to have busted a coolant passage o-ring.

Given that detail, what do you guys think it is and where should I get the motor rebuilt. I am located in South Carolina so the less shipping I have the better.

I would take the car back.

Youve lost a soft soft seal and it sounds like it overheated very bad which could result in extra damage to your engine.

Rotorsports or Rotary Resurrection are probably the closest shops to you.

You have lost a coolant seal. You wont know how bad the damage is until you tear it down. I hope you got some sort of warranty when you bought it.

Well given Virgina is a as is state with no 3 day return law, I'm pretty well stuck with the car. I did talk with Duncan Imports and they did offer a courtesy refund to cover some expenses (quite a bit actually) so not all is gloomy. Gary Duncan, the owner, clearly has had to deal with far to many rude and belligerent customers building his chain so he was a bit hard to work with as I think he assumed I was just trying to start crap, but given they essentially are willing to offer some consolation prize to it all does give them at least decent character.

At this point I have found a couple of options for rebuild/new that includes rotor sports and rx7world since they are only 2 hours from me
