GA where does this connector go?

I recently had to put in a new headlight switch subharness. Anyway, i got up in there and someone has messed with the wiring before. Someone has spliced in acouple wires from the harness for the headlight switch to the same harness thats attached via the plastic hold up out of the way connector. I have no idea why and if i should mess with that or not. Also theres a big white male end connector that just hanging out there but i cant find another connection end for it. Is there suppossed to be? Also, under the hood, in the corner by the clutch master cylinder, burried under it, theres some black wiring with what looks to be some screw together type fuse junctions that i need to know if they are suppossed to be there as well. Thanks for any help.

Ill have to take a picture with my ol ladys camara when i can. She works strange hours. I was going to drive it today but im waiting for my light switch to get here. So i was just gonna plug in the turn signal switch but when i did the left blinker would come on and stay on. So im wondering if both switches need to be plugged in for the "system" so to speak, to work. I didnt wanna try plugging in the old switch as I didnt wanna take the chance on it messing up my new subharness.

The only wire running from the headlight switch to the turn signal switch is for illumination of the little bulb in the turn switch housing and nothing more. The turn switch has a Green/Red wire that runs to the Hazard Flasher unit in the CPU. This wire should only have voltage on it w/key to on and the turn signal set to left turn and not a no turn position (not left or right). The G/R wire can be found down at the CPU in the largest plug so you could check for voltage at this spot. If it does have voltage w/key to on and the turn signal centered to neither the right or left turn position then the switch is stuck in the left turn position and causing this wire to have voltage when it should not.

I will test this wire as you said. But for now im going to wait for my light switch, should be here tomorrow, and get it back together. I just bought this car. Mechanically it runs really good. But it was my own fault in not to check the lights with my own 2 eyes before i bought it. I had an 88na, that was back in 94-95, alittle newer then, and my 88 seemed to have revved up much quicker, and the car seemed much quicker than this 90na.
