When i let go of the clutch...
It feels like something just POPS and makes this loud noise like something snaps into place. It does this regardless of gear, even if I sloooowly release the clutch to take off on first it still does this.
I'm sure I can figure out what it is, but if anyone here can tell me what it specifically is, that'd save me some time (:
I just got this car running too, recently bought it, first time driving it.

So I figured out it the rear diff mount right before the ujoints. The mounts loose and the whole driveshaft shoots upward when the clutch is released while in gear.
Are their any write ups on this or anyone experience this same issue, or similar to it?
I'm MORE than confident I can get this done blindly, but any help is worth seeking. I'm just going to wait till next weekend or till my next free day to take on this warlock.

Is this something that commonly happens over time or can I assume that it was maintenance'd wrong (which I do, the driveshaft looks recently new)

Ya,the front mount can actually rip in half. It's just a rubber sandwich with bolts.
Someone has been trying variations of a solid front mount but it hasn't been perfected yet.
..TIP..take the rear calipers off the rear assembly and using wire, let them hang,so you can get the subframe lowered.Otherwise you will rip the flexlines right off the brakes.

Mmm that seems interesting. You'd think this would've been taken care if long ago already. AHH yes, the ole wire caliper trick, it's really convenient, not just for keep things from ripping but for getting it the hell out of the way lol
Thanks mate, greatly appreciated!
