well i just picked up my first turbo II after already owning 3 other N/A rx7's and and this turbo II has to have the oil and gas mixed like a 2 stroke.....i mean i have never heard of this...i have had the car for a few days and it runs like a top and the turbo spools awesome sounds like a desiel truck....but i was just wondering if anyones heard of this and why it would be like this....thanks

Most likely what has happened is the previous owner disconnected what is called the "MOP" which means Metered Oil Pump and what this did was put a small amount of engine oil into the combustion chamber to lubricate the engine internals. By disabling the MOP (also called OMP) the engine still needs lubrication so 2 stroke oil is mixed with the fuel. 2 stroke oil is designed to burn cleaner and lubricate better with less carbon buildup than motor oil.

If you're running stock boost levels, 87 octane is what it's rated for. You only need to run higher octane when you start modifying things & running higher pressures.

How could dual exhaust be bad for it? All FCs came with dual exhaust stock. And you can't hurt an engine by running an exhaust that is too big or too small.

A 2.5 - 3" system will flow just fine. Stock is about 2.25" split into dual 2" or so.

Greddy makes a kit, but a lot of people use ebay cores and piping to make their own.

Do an advanced search of thread titles for "FMIC" or "front mount" in the 2nd gen technical section.
