Weird reving

Ok its like 88 degrees today and my car was reving not normal. It was below 1000 rpm, but the meter was moving up and down by a 1mm or 2mm. Not only that the engine seems like it was shaking a little too? I was wondering what could be the cause? Would it be the spark plugs? or the inake?

His profile shows a 1990 mazda RX 7. Oddly enough my car started revving at idle the other day too, sometimes stalling in the process.

i would definitely start at your injectors though.. knowing the rx7 is notorious for bad injectors lol

It's a vacuum leak, bad/misadjusted TPS, or both.

^^ that too.
i was thinking though if his problem was anything like man and it went away after a few minutes then the fuel injectors would be my first guess.

I am a newbie at the engine stuff so please tell me where that is at? I don't have money to go pay a mechanic to fix that.
