OR Weird Hot start Issue

I have read all of the post for Hot start issues. Mine is different. I can start it up with no problem at all. It runs great like it always has. But when I shut it off I can not start it. The weird thing is that it does not turn over at all. I will turn the key to start it and nothing almost like the battery is dead. but after it cools down for a bit it fires up no problem. I have replaced my intake air sensor and my coolent temp sensor. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Nate

I was going to offer some tips until I read, "intake air sensor," and realized we were talking EFI.

Let's see what some of the 2nd and 3rdgen guru's have got to offer...what year RX-7?

Having the same problem

I'm having the same problem with my 94. It starts up fine, but if I shut it down it won't start. All the dash lights come on but the starter doesn't engage. It doesn't even have to get hot, does it even if it was only running 10 seconds. Later if I go out the whole process repeats itself. I replaced the starter today, but that wasn't the problem.

Sure would be nice for some of the experts to help Nate and me with this problem. I would love to be able to drive my FD and be able to stop somewhere and still get home.

Found the issue

On mine the issue was my turbo timer. The timer was on the fritz and was not allowing me to restart the car untill after a given amount of time. I disconected my timer and it start and restarts fine. I will update this after i have driven for a little and see if it comes up again.

I was going to suggest corroded battery cables or connections. Glad you got it sorted out...
