weight balance of vert fc?
Im sure its been asked before but I cant seem to find what the weight balance of the s5 fc convertible is. Im sure it isnt quite the 50/50 of the coupe but id like to know.

It's not a 200 pound difference.
I weighed my 1988 vert at 1450/1500/2900 total (only accurate to 50lbs). If I remember right, it was the front that was "lighter," however now I can't remember.
That's with my AC and airpump removed up front, and my tools and fluids in the trunk/behind my seat.
If anything I think the back would be lighter in a vert because it has a lighter roof, the spare tire is farther forward, and to people's surprise, the top motors don't weigh 50lbs each (more like 8).

The S5 vert was rated at 3030 to 3071 lbs curb weight, making it the heaviest RX-7 ever made. I don't recall the static weight distribution, but it was probably close enough to 50-50 that you wouldn't know the difference. The coupe wasn't exactly 50-50 anyway, more like 50.2/49.8, depending on the options. Of course, the actual static weight distribution will depend on things like the weight of the aftermarket battery, position of the seats, transmission type, weight of the occupants and baggage, amount of fuel, and similar factors.
