ID weeding out the wiring harness to the ECM

I need help:
I am in the process of trying to weed out the wiring harness on my rx project, the only functions that i want to have are for the ignition, throttle position sensor, injection and mass air flow sensor. i believe that these are the only functions that i need to make the car run, All of the smog stuff fell off when the engine came out.
I appreciate any advice that any of you have. This car's primary function will be auto cross and drifting,
The other question that i have is in regards to the pins on the ECM, vs: the electrical schematic in the Haynes manual. The manual shows letter designations on the ECM and all of the literature that i've found shows number designations on the connectors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, cause, i'm just getting started on this project.

Thanks Leata

You will need more functions then that:

On the emissions harness:
-TPS
-IAT
-CLT
-Injectors (and resistors if applicable)
-boost/pressure sensor
-variable resistor (if applicable)
-metering oil pump (if applicable)

The engine harness contains:
-CAS signal wires
-alternator/coolant temp if turbo

Then on the front body harness you need:
-coil wiring

Thumbs up

Aaron

Thanks for the reply, I will check it out, I have been working on vintage muscle cars for 40 plus years and haven't had much of an opportunity to work on computer controlled cars, and for an old guy i'm really having trouble with what is required to make a autocross car run. Thanks again Leata
