Weber 48 ida question

I am looking into doing a weber 48 ida set up on my 81 fb and I have a question. On all the cars I see them on I don't seem to see a return line for fuel. Can anyone explain if the return is used at all with this set up? Thanks in advance. Colin

The weber 48 Ida only has a fuel inlet on it and nothing else, the fuel pressure regulator will determine if there is a fuel return line.

So if I understand you correctly...the return gets connected to the regulator only?

my only IDA experience is with my throttle body and therefore is probably not useful to you. however, if it's like my former Dell'Orto, then yes, you will have to rely on your pressure regulator for a return setup. it should be fairly easy to set up.
