Hello I am breaking in my fresh rebuild and want to know what my idle circuit should be tuned to. I am looking for some safe base tuning setup instructions to use while my motor is being broken in.
car setup
1991 base coupe (s5)
n/a six port
half bridge port (outer irons bridged inner irons street ported), 9.7-1 rotors, omp delete all premix
1.1-1.25 oz per gallon valvoline tcw-3 premix.
msd direct fire ignition(boosts leading plug)
15* btdc timing at idle 26 at full advance
carb setup
Weber 48dco/sp
3psi fuel pressure
45 choke tubes
190 main jets
f11 emulsion tubes
For some reason the air bleed numbers have been filed away and the only thing I can make out is 19 or 18 so I’m guessing 195-180 range
65f9 idle jets
85 acc pumps
car should idle at around 1750-1850 after the tuning but my butterfly valve adjustment screw is touching but not moving the valves
please let me know what I should do to set up the carburetor correctly. I will attach a photo of the idle tip in holes. Please let me know In this forum or if calling is easier give me a call at +19017132154 and we can talk/ tune on the phone.
