Water level sensor

Is it possible to reattach the thing if the wire is broken off at the base of the cap? Or will I have to buy a new one? Also the radiator or whatever that is looked empty which is probably the reason the sensor has been going off. I'm trying to fix that though.

Add coolant and bleed the system.

A new coolant level sensor cost me about $18 if I remember right. I replaced mine about a year ago with a new one from an auto parts store.

Okay, I've got another question then. Should the rad be full when the car is off? I screwed off the sensor to check and there is very little liquid in there which is probably why the sensor is always going off. I have it grounded for now though until I go out to NAPA later today to see if they have one.

The Coolant level should be UP,all the time.
That is Why your Sender is going off..That is what it is for anyways, right?.telling you that the level of Coolant is low,and to attend to it.
That Sender's Wire is a Bad "design".IF you geat another one,I would think about adding an extra bit of Caulking/RTV or something to protect the Area where the Wire goes IN to the top of that Sender. The wire always seems to break off there.(stupid piece of ..!!!)

Do you happen to have a part number? Was it's application something other than an RX7? I'm guessing yes, if it was in stock at your FLAPS. Thanks, Tony
