TX Water coming out tailpipe?

hi, im currently looking to buy this 1986 rx7 from this guy. the problem with the car is that he says it shoots water out the tailpipe. and its not condensation. any suggestions to what the problem may be? thanks

You need to see it for yourself...it's a relative thing...he may think it's shooting out, but it could very well be just condensation. Don't take his word for it, see it for yourself and then get back with this thread.

Like Mario says, check it out yourself. If it's coolant then you should be able to differentiate that from water (assuming there is anti-freeze in the cooling system). If it's straight water and it only happens at startup and quickly goes away, then it probably IS condensation. It may have a little black soot with it as well.

If it turns out to be an internal coolant seal, then pick it up dirt cheap and try this:

hey guys, made the drive to check it out, and it was just the usual condensation and dissipated soon after starting the car, dont think the fella knew what he was talking about. thanks for the suggestions!
