MN Wastegate

I have a question about the Wastegate or at least thats what I think is wrong. When I am really getting on the throttle and I am around 10 lbs of boost which is usually around 6-7.5k rps it seems the wastegate kicks in and I lose all the boost. Could that be a bad wastegate?

It may be too light of a spring on the waste gate try placing a vacuum gauge on it and find out when it starts to open,if it opens too quickly you can re-spring it, or if it is OEM, place a after market boost controller inline on the waste gate, so you can dial in more boost

It sounds like your car may have a pop-off valve. Can you post a picture of the intake system? Or do you see one of these pop-off valves mounted to the intake plumbing?
