Hi, I'm just hoping that someone will be kind enough to help an outsider. I have a diesel 4X4 and I found a mod to be able to use 2wheel low but it says I need a vacuum valve from a 87 RX7.

"The vac solenoid I used is off of I believe an 87 RX7.. The solenoid is part of the emissions system... RX7 nuts call it the rats nest and more often than not pull it all off.. about 6 or 7 solenoids per engine..

The solenoid is perfect for the 2LOW because after closing off from the vac source it vents to atmosphere through a small filter to remove the vacuum from the line going to the t-case... Oh ya and its cheap.."

Can someone tell me the name of this valve so I could get it at a parts store or where it is on the engine so I could get it at a wreaking yard.

The 1stgen's have the rat's nest also, so it's curious that the "tip-of-the-day" would specify a 2ndgen set up. Still, let's see what the 2ndgen guru's have got to say since it does mention venting the transaxle, something the 1stgen's def don't have.
