Turn signal cancel

just got a fc rx7 89 and my turn signal doesnt self cancel

angle sensor?
canceling cam?
the switch itself?
any ideaa on how i can diagnos the problem

Probably the switch.

There's no cancel cam as the switch is electronic (and mounted in the instrument cluster).

mine doesnt either i thought it was because of the steering wheel the guy i bought my car from installed

all i know is that it doesnt pass inspection here in MD btw had my mechanic look at it... it is the switch

take off the steering wheel and and the column shroud and there will be a plastic thing surrounding the column held in by 2 screws. that's the turn signal canclering thing... replace it any you'll be good to go.

Yes, the cancel system is totally electronic. If the steering wheel was swapped, the switch may have been damaged.
