Turbos

Hi there, I'm having problems making my knight sports twins work! I got re-installed the EBC III and I'm bit shure if I instálled ir well! I also have an overexplosion ir something like that and lots of white smoke coming out of the muffler.

Speaking from leaky fuel injector experience...

I'm relatively new to rotary life, and I live in CA so the kinds of modifications you are working on is totally out of the question in my reality, but...

White smoke usually means the car is getting way too much fuel. Both in my 2015 Golf (under warranty at the time) and my 1991 300zx, The engine suddenly started to run like crap and shake violently under acceleration, and white smoke poured out the exhaust. In both cases it was a stuck fuel injector leaking fuel into the engine all the time.

I would check to make sure whatever ECU you are running is getting a good reading from the airflow sensor, and is configured properly for your O2 sensor (or lack of O2 sensor, if it is expecting a reading and you deleted the sensor, it might be trying to compensate for a lean mixture condition). Then, if it doesn't seem to be a computer issue, maybe replace your fuel injectors?

Hopefully others can comment who have more experience. This seems like an awfully ambitious project for the New Member section.

ALSO- You aren't saying what car you have (model and year) or what engine you have in it, and I know that's the first thing anyone who really knows their stuff on this website is going to ask.

WHITE smoke is WATER burning off, whether it be condensation burning off, or antifreeze burning (rebuild)

BLACK smoke is the engine getting too much fuel (aka running rich)

BLUE smoke is oil burning (rebuild of engine, or possible turbos)

being you said you have knightsport twins I'm guessing you have an FD, which I know squat about them, but figured I'd clear up the smoke color

I think ThirdPedal is on the right track with the ECU setup and lduley nailed it with the smoke color. The white smoke issue makes me fear for the health of your o-rings. If it's constantly flowing from your exhaust you're f**ked and will need to rebuild your block regardless of your EBC and upgraded turbos. If the smoke goes away your block make keep running... for a while.

Burning oil inside the engine will be blue smoke out the exhaust i.e bad oil control rings, however, when oil is burnt in the exhaust it's white.

The white smoke only comes out on low RPMs, below 1000, I was using the wrong oil I think! I gonna use a 20w50 now! Maybe that's why the oil got burned so fast!
On the other hand, I cannot find a diagram for installing the hoses of my EBC III! Hope someone can help with some pics.
My car gets drawn on high rpms, I think the secondary injectors are failing!

Could also be turbos leaking if the OP installed a used set. And in my experience it doesn't matter where the oil is burned, it's going to be blue. I agree with Iduley....
*White= Steam/coolant mixture usually accompanied by a faintly sweet smell.
*Blue= Oil
*Black= Fuel/Rich mixture
