turbo2 hood on n/a

i would like u guys opinions. i have an na vert and i have been contemplating installing a turbo hood, not because i want to be a ricer and make ppl think my car is turbo but because i think it looks really good with the hood scoop and wouldnt the scoop still be beneficial for the n/a motor allowing extra airflow?

No, about all it would do is cool the intake, but it woulsn't benefit you at all

About all it will do is give it a different look, since you have a vert, it should already be an aluminum hood, that is SHOULD

Yup, what he said. The sole purpose of the Turbo-II hood scoop is to provide air flow for the stock top mount intercooler on the turbocharged motors. A quick refresher: compressing air heats it up, so an intercooler is used to bring intake temps down after the turbo. The intake snorkel on both the NA and turbo cars is plumbed to somewhere behind where the hood latch is on top of the radiator, which is wayyyy in front of where the hood scoop introduces air. So basically, there's no performance gain from the scoop. NA motors really don't benefit from intake mods all that well unless you've worked on the exhaust already and started dabbling with porting anyhow...

Another thing to look out for: some S4 Turbo-II hoods are made of steel. I know mine is, so it'd actually be a downgrade from the aluminum your vert should have. So, keep an eye out for that as well if you decide to go through with the modification.

If you put a magnet to your hood and if it doesn't stick then you got an aluminum hood.
That thing weighs about 28 pounds.
The Steel hood is like a "He-Man Toboggan" and weighs 56 pounds!

I just changed my hood out.The old steel hood was bending the prop rod under it's weight!

*warning!
If you change your hood out for a TII Hood then that will cause you to get a sudden "why shouldn't I go TII Syndrome"..and then you go on a quest for power and end up spending 15K to upgrade your car into the Potential Taco Monster that it should be!

If you yourself do not contract a power obsessive neurosis, your car will undergo an existential crisis and the NA motor will commit suicide to force you into a turbo swap.
