turbo help fd rx7

Hello there

i have a standard twin turbo set up,both turbo are working as they should but im getting no boost on the first turbo?

soon as it kicks in the 2nd turbo full boost ?

1st turbo spins up as you can here it but no boost i believe one of the actuators is failling or my recirculation valve is sticking open ? any ideas or has anyone else had this issue?

thanks martyn

What RPM range(s) are acting weirdly? This sounds like Charge Control Valve or possibly Charge Relief Valve, suggesting a vacuum line job is in your future. Is your car Series 6 (92-95) or Series 7/8 (96-98/99-02)? The vacuum diagrams are different for the two.

hi there

it is a series 7 1997 type rs

the turbo kicked in low revs 2000rpm used to get g force little pause until over 4000rpm then more g force

now no g force until 1st turbo opens into the 2nd then g force maximum boost

1st turbo is spining up but not going through the engine is only way to describe it !!

im going to investigate with a mechanic in one hour

Can you define "recirculation valve"? Are you referring to the Blowoff Valve, Charge Relief Valve or Charge Control Valve? A picture would certainly help here. Series 7/8's vacuum diagram is completely different from Series 6 too.
