Turbo Blanket Sizing
Turbo Blanket Sizing
I recently bought an rx7 and it has a borg warner 55 BS single turbo. I dont know the specific model thats all I can see written on the turbo. It would make sense its a 55mm but I have no idea the exact model so I'm not sure of the dimensions of the hot side so I can find a proper fitting turbo blanket.
I want to get a mishimoto turbo blanket but dont know what all the T#'s mean according to size.
Anyone who knows more about turbo blankets or anything related to this in general would be much appreciated to reply with anything that could help me. Thanks for reading.

Ptp is the only brand blanket you should be buying. No idea how to figure out what borg you have. Posting a picture would help. Typically you're safe going with a t4 blanket. Even if your back housing is a t3, so long as you have the space a t4 blanket will work fine. Ptp has the t4 sized blanket labeled as a t3/t4.
Buying a crappy turbo blanket is a waste of money. It looks cool in the box and when you first put it on but after that it starts to show its value. Ptp blankets will look the same as day 1 for years and will continue to WORK the same as day 1. The cheap ones also burn and tend to cause the rest of the car to do the same.
