tubo swap

Hi, I have a 1990 non turbo engine! the engine is blown and i am looking for a replacement!
Can i put a turbo engine in fairly easy?

The short answer, yes.

use all s5 turbo engine parts and electronics. The turbo ecu will mate to your dash harness.

flywheel selection will depend on if you’re using turbo or nonturbo transmission.

Correction, you can also use a s4 turbo engine, lim, uim, but then use s5 throttle body and s5 electronics.


just throwing that out there as it opens up your possibilities to also s4 turbo engine parts. Just note the s4 t2 rotors are lower compression, and the distance between leading and trailing spark plugs on the irons is different.
