WI Trying to make this bad girl run

Okay so My name is Andrew and I have had my Rx-7 1990 for approximately a year. First off I did buy a manual and have had some work done on the car but have resorted to working on it myself. The first issue/question I am having is in relation to the spark plugs. I know the Trailing plugs go on top and the Leading plugs go on the bottom however is there a certain order I am supposed to put the chords that run from the engine ignition packs to the spark plugs. I know that there are two terminals that the coils come from, the L's being at the front of the car and the T's being at the back right of the engine. But are the leading coils supposed to connect with the leading spark plugs and the trailing with the trailing or are they supposed to cross in some fashion. If you can answer please answer with the idea that when I look at the side of the engine I have t1 in the top left and t2 in the top right while l1 is in the bottom left and l2 is in the bottom right. I am standing on the drivers side looking towards the passenger side and down in the engine. My second question is in relation to the the car not starting so well in the fact that after I drove it for approximately an hour and a half and then when trying to start it the car shoots white smoke out the exhaust (but allot of it). Keep in mind that the exhaust is screwball in the sense that the main converter is done for, also the system has no resonator, there is a connecting inside pipe; from the straight pipe where the resonator should be to the main converter which is clamped on. Could the lack of a resonator be effecting the performance of the car? Third, my add coolant light likes to come on and beep at me even though I think the radiator is full. Could my water pump be messed up? Last but I am sure not least the car is dripping oil out the bottom which I think may be an oil pan gasket. Is there a gasket and filter in the pan itself? Please help me out I am trying to get this car going and want to someday put some turbo in it thanks.....

1) Yes T1 with the first spark plug and T2 with the second. Trailing Top

2) White smoke is not good. If the coolant light comes on, add coolant. Did you do a compression test?

3) Check the codes. Mazda added its own code checker it works... for most major things.

I would pick up a copy of the FMS (factory service manual) if you can. You can download it here ( http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factory...ual/1989_1991/ )
I just love my book because it can be reached in a hurry. Also check out https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/frequently-asked-questions-2nd-generation-rx-7-faq-fc-494667/

4) Yes they sell oil gaskets, or you can make your own if your good and need a fast seal. AutoZone/Advanced sells gasket maker and gasket rubber/cork material ect... Also use the black sealant for REALY hot or intense heat, use the blue sealant for coolant or mild temps.

5) Using the search, atop the page next to "new post" on the tool bar can save you a lot of time and others aggregation(yea sometimes people on here get quite grumpy)

Oh yea welcome to the world of Constant problems(by problems I mean it is a 20 year old car and the fact that random and obscured things will happen) and short of cash.

TURBO:

Thats a whole animal in its self... just get it running and then worrie about that. Its much harder than it seams, requires custom fab and to do it right will set you back some cash $$
