trouble and just looking for what the problem is

im having trouble that i have no knowledge on. when i get on my car on low booste its fine. once i hit about 6000 rpms it will just complety cut out. it feals like the gas just shuts off. can someone give me at least a clue on what could be causing this. that and the car runs so damn rich it gets like 9 mpg. is there a way i can fix that using the apexi power fc that came with no instructions???? thanks any replies will really help.

This is an RX-7 I assume?

What year? They were produced from '78 until 2004. That's a lot of different models...

Sounds like a very poor tune job. Best bet if you are unfamiliar with tuning is to find someone local who knows the PowerFC.
