im stuck on the 41mm lock nut,has anybody found a technique where i can re use the 41mm lock nut other than buying the $95 tool or destroying the lock nut?, i tried a pipe wrench but its not going too well

 

personally i'd cut it off with a rotary tool or drill one side of it to break it lose if you don't have a torch to heat it up. then i'd replace it. better to replace things once you have them apart anyway. other than that. I would prolly not waste my time with it and out source another used trans. they're pretty easy to come by.

 

thanks dude, i just ended up working it more with a BMF pipe wrench, it eventually came undone but then i had a hard time with the dynamic balancer but i got a puller from the deisel shop and got it off lol
