trans sound and eng premix q's
I just bought an fc for $500 and i have a couple questions about it. First off, the transmission makes a lound screeching sound when in every gear but fourth. The guy i bought it from gave me a new transmission and said the old one had a bad slave cylinder. Does that sound right? And also how can you tell a n/a tranny from a turbo, i'm 99% sure its n/a but how do you tell. Second the guy i got it from has the car set up for premix. I don't mind because I race 2-stroke dirt bikes so im use to it but I don't understand is does the stock oil injector inject the regular engine oil? What does the premix oil lubricate that the regular engine oil you put in doesn't. On a 2-stroke you don't put in engine oil, you just premix. And what ratio should I use, I do 32/1 on my bikes, is that to much oil? Thanks!

The slave cylinder bolts to the transmission. It's not part of it, so it sounds like the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. If there's a screeching noise, you probably have some nuked bearings. Replace the transmission.
Turbo transmissions have removable bell housings and a removable cover on the bottom.
People run premix because they disabled or removed the stock oil metering pump and injectors. It probably broke and the owner didn't want to fix it. I think the standard amount of oil to add is 1 oz. per 2 gallons of fuel. And yes, the stock system uses engine oil to lubricate the seals. How much it adds is based on throttle position.
