CO Tranny question

I have a 1986 base model & a 1988 GXL which I am basically combining into one car. I am thinking that I will throw on the rear end off the GXL to get the LSD and this is where the plot thickens, I have the automatic tranny of the GXL, the NA tranny of the 86 base and I purchased a T2 tranny out of the junkyard. I was intending to use the Base engine, T2 tranny and the GXL rear end. Will this all go together smoothly with the Mazdatrix T2 tranny to NA rear end driveshaft?

So far so good, but you'll need a complete TII clutch including: flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc and TII starter. Since you already have the auto tranny counterweight you can go with a lightweight flywheel instead of the heavy stock one. Be sure to keep all the parts within the S4 model years, 86-88.

Thanks for the advise. Can you tell me if there is a difference between the S4 and S5 Turbo tranny as I am not sure what year the car was that I pulled the tranny from?

From 87 thru 91, there was only one TII transmition, with aslight change in 5th gear as this:

Gears 1st. 3.483
2nd. 2.015
3rd. 1.391
4th. 1.0
5th 0.762 for 87-88
5th. 0.719 for 89-91
