tranny issues please help!

Hey, I've got an na s4. A while back the input shaft bearing in my tranny went out and took the whole thing with it. I replaced it with a used one and about 6 months later the bearing was making noise on the newer tranny. I replaced the pocket bearing right before I drove from sacramento to seattle. About an 850 mile drive. At the end of the trip the bearing is whining like crazy and I'm pulling the tranny again. Anybody else had this problem, I am putting a new center mount in and replacing the bearing again. Anyone else had this problem and/or know what's causing it? I don't wanna have to pull the tranny again in a couple months.

I would just pull the tranny and replace the bearings and clutch with all new items.

I agree, go ahead and stop being frugal. Second hand body parts a $hit are one thing, but internal parts should always be replaced with new ones, especially with bearings and such, and Especially on... let's say abused... cars, like 7's. You really don't know what those used parts were put through prior to you putting them on what sounds like your daily driver.
